If you're having issues getting started with the Gaia Flash Framework and you can't find solutions in the documentation, please post your questions in this forum.  I also appreciate any feedback you can provide on how to improve the documentation.

Please provide Gaia version, copy and paste your site.xml or relevant source code (please wrap it in a code tag using brackets), or provide a pastebin link to it.

The general support forum is for general Gaia questions that apply to both AS3 and AS2, such as general questions about how Gaia works, the Gaia panel, and anything that isn't related specifically to an Actionscript version-centric code error.  If you're having a specific code error with AS2 or AS3, please post in the appropriate forum.

Note: If you are asking a general AS2 or AS3 development question, you are better off asking on a Flash list such as Flashcoders or Flash_Tiger.  You will receive more responses much more quickly.  General development questions may go unanswered for long periods of time.

For debugging, the AS3 version uses Thunderbolt, which requires Firebug in Firefox.

For AS2, I recommend you get a copy of the XRay Debugging Tool and put the XRay component in the Main.fla library.  You can take a snapshot of your application and navigate through the site tree.  If you have an asset that isn't showing up, you can see where it is in the tree by using XRay.

Gaia uses XRay traces for certain things like goto and interrupts.  If you forget to call a transition complete method, your site may not load correctly.  If you navigate to another section when you don't call a complete, it will fire an interrupt and you will see that in the XRay debugger.  XRay is a helpful tool for working with Gaia.
