I've got a nice FDT 5 Max License for 30 days to really try it out.   I have hight expectations, but am not starting off very well.   Are there any good getting started tutorials that you recommend?

I've been all through their vimeo channel, but they don't mention GAIA at all (not that I really expected them to).   It seems they assume a knowledge base that I don't have.   I've never directly worked with SDKs, no idea what Ant is, etc etc.   Most only worked and coded within the Flash environment.

I aim to create Flash based (WITH TIMELINES GALORE), using GAIA framework, and primarily code using FDT5.        It's a rough learning curve.

Thanks for any suggestions and direction.

I wouldn't worry too much about linking Gaia and fdt to start with. Just get to know Fdt through their tutorials, learn about sdk's, etc.  Plenty to be going on with...  Once you've got that, hooking it up with Gaia isn't much of a stretch -  just create a Gaia project and import it.

The latest new is.. .. ..   FDT can suck it!   so can Flash Builder!   Sublime Text 2 is the HOT-NEW-JAM!

Check it out.. is the best text editor ever created in the history of all creation!   (You will have to do a bit of tweaking to make sure it plays nice with AS3 though)

Pure Coding Comfort.

Enjoy,
